BRIEF HISTORY
In October of 1994, Fomar Import
/ Export became a corporation in the State of California
of the United States of America. From that date on
began a process of investigation of the market with
respect to the preferences of our clients, specification
of packaging, and quality of products. As Fomar prepared
for business, commercial agreements were reached with
exporters of various countries to distribute their
merchandise within the U.S.
Subsequently, services were obtained and
personnel added in order to begin the commercialization of those
products. Once the means of doing business were put in place,
the process of closing sales began. And with that, we achieved
our first major objectives of positioning the Fomar name in the
market and establishing a presence in the Los Angeles Metropolitan
Area in California.
A few years later, Fomar achieved substantial
growth in sales and attained a major position in the market, eventually
becoming one of the top five most important distributors of dry
ingredients for Mexican foods in an area that has one of the highest
concentrations of Mexican population in the U.S.
In 1996, Fomar Express in Gilroy,
California, was founded in order to serve clients
located in Northern California, which contains California’s
second largest Latino population. Currently, Fomar
Import / Export, Inc. is a company that competes with
the major importers and exporters of Mexican food
ingredients in the United States, and we will continue
to work hard not just to retain our reputation but,
even more importantly, to meet the expectations of
our clients and of the market that we serve.
